What I Think About Edibles: A comical encounter

The first time I tried cannabis I opted for the infamous pot brownie. A concerned friend pointed out the effects of this product thus; I just ate a small piece. Nonetheless this product did not affect me, and I didn’t bother eating some more that evening. I assumed that either the cookie was just an ordinary brownie or the weed could not affect me.

Several months later I was ready to discover more about cannabis, so I took my second pot brownie being almost sure it won’t affect me. Everybody else would be high except me. In spite of my assumption this time the weed affected me.
Honestly I was terrified of smoking, so I preferred food which felt safer and healthier though it’s ironic to think of cookies as healthy given the amount of sugar they contain. I spent the months that followed trying to learn more about this product. It was a fascinating experience with my senses and consciousness altered.

When my partner and I began seeing each other we took an edible together. The memory of the chocolate bar wrapping and the taste of the chocolate is still very vivid in my mind. The night preceding that day we had each only a tiny piece of the chocolate. Thus, we only felt a mild effect. That afternoon we shared the leftover chocolate bar and then decided to explore nature.

We were stoned out of our minds, beyond what we had previously experienced. We were high for about fourteen hours. It was like we became one with nature. Afterwards we watched a harry potter movie and cried when we imagined the horrific trauma the characters had experienced and a young age of eleven years.

The experience was awesome and felt like it would never end, fourteen hours felt like fourteen days. This high had us feeling separated yet connected, scored and yet exhilarated, out of control but still with a sense of control which was weird. That half of a day was like an entire lifetime.

That particular day will forever be in my mind. It was one of the last times we took edibles. With time I started smoking and got used to it. The idea of growing, storing and maintaining weed became my new interest and I wanted to learn more. It is said that bhang has the most extended lifespan when stored properly. I say marijuana has the longest lifespan when taken in a brownie.
